Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun collected two thousand signatures as of 6 p.m. Sept.17, against Armenia-Turkey Protocols. ARFD representative Hrant Margaryan told NEWS.am that the number of signatures will grow later in the day and that bad weather is no problem for the pickets.

He pointed out that it was their decision that during the day there should be not over 24 picketers, whereas at night the number will grow. “The number of protesters does not really matter what matters is that the society awakens and protests preventing the authorities from making wrong steps,” he insisted.

He personally has joined neither a hunger strike or the sit-in picket yet however admits that “all can happen.”

Armenia-Turkey Protocols were released on August 31. Within six weeks they should be presented and ratified in parliaments of both countries. ARFD insists some provisions of the Protocols jeopardize Armenian national interests.
