Premier Nikol Pashinyan has conveyed a condolence message on the death of Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, Archbishop Mesrob Mutafyan.
“It is with deep sorrow that I learned about the death of Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, Archbishop Mesrob Mutafyan.
As a spiritual leader, he made his invaluable contributions to the ongoing enhancement of national and church life in Turkey and the strengthening and unity of the Armenian Church and the Armenian community.
Through his activities, Archbishop Mesrob Mutafyan had a high reputation and will remain in the memories of many as a spiritual leader who was unconditionally devoted to his mission.
I express my deep condolences to the family of Patriarch Mutafyan, the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople and all members of the Armenian community,” Pashinyan’s message reads.
