The question is not finding the ones guilty of the March 3 incident in front of the Government building, but preventing recurrences, Galust Sahakyan, Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary faction, told a press briefing March 4.

Armenian MPs are indignant at the incident - law-enforcers must show a proper attitude to them. On the other hand, the Parliament must be able to resolve social problems in cooperation with the Government, Sahakyan said. He said that Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited the RPA office on March 3. "We discussed some foreign and domestic political problems," Sahakyan said.

Speaking of the problems arousing public concern, particularly the one of street trading, Sahakyan stressed the need for enabling street traders to earn their "daily bread." As to the possibility of personnel changes, particularly release of the Premier, he said that the RPA has not discussed the issue.

As to the possibility of the Heritage Party boycotting the Parliament`s activities, Sahakyan pointed out that it would run counter to the interests of both the state and party itself. "Of course, we are somewhat bored of the Heritage Party, but we are able to listen to constructive criticism," Sahakyan said.

Armenian News-NEWS.am reminds readers that Heritage faction members and law-enforcers had a clash in front of the Armenian Government`s building on March 3. The MPs accused aggressive policemen of provocations.
