Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, who was chairing today’s government session, talked about the age-old civil service system, the amount of remuneration and rewards of civil servants.

He noted that there were a lot of talks about the rewards system in late 2018 since everything was transparent.

“The system has been shady for many years, and within the scope of reforms in the civil service system, we need to be open and speak clearly about the problems that exist in this system. We need to talk about the amounts of remuneration and the problems that have been caused by the illogical and age-old system,” he said.

Avinyan stated that these discussions need to continue and that the government has to be open to the society and state the goals.
