The protest actions are being held in Dilijan, Armenian Tavush province on Friday.
A total of 300 residents have blocked the roads by trucks, shamshyan.com reported.
The protesters demanded the release of David Hakobyan - the son of the former Dilijan military commissar Hovhannes Hakobyan.
The governor promised to inform the relevant authorities about the situation.
As reported earlier, the court of first instance of Tavush province acquitted David Hakobyan accused of attempting to murder, while the Court of Appeal sentenced him to imprisonment, and the Court of Cassation left the sentence unchanged.
