European Union leaders will hold emergency summit  on April 10 to discuss Brexit, after the rejection of the Withdrawal Agreement by the House of Commons, the European Council president Donald Tusk wrote on his Twitter account, after British lawmakers rejected a deal for a third time on Friday.

"In view of the rejection of the Withdrawal Agreement by the House of Commons, I have decided to call a European Council on 10 April." Tusk tweeted.

UK lawmakers rejected the government's divorce deal with the European Union for a third time, leaving the date and terms of the UK's departure from the bloc uncertain. The House of Commons voted 286-344 against the withdrawal agreement struck between Prime Minister Theresa May and the EU.
Adoption of the deal would mean that deputies would have time till May 22 to agree on all remaining issues connected with Brexit, and the UK would leave the European community in an ordered manner in  less thantwo months. The current outcome of the vote means that the risk of "rough" Brexit, without a deal at all.

Earlier, the European Union warned that if the British deputies do not approve the deal this week, the country will leave the EU on April 12.
