NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg uses the experience of Norway during the Cold War in its relations with Russia and intends to be tough in its dialogue with the Russian Federation. He stated this in an interview with TT.
“It is possible to cooperate with Russia, we only need to be tough, stick together and not confuse dialogue with weakness. This was what Norway did during the Cold War, and in the north we cooperated in the fields of energy, fisheries, defense, and the division of the Barents Sea,- said Stoltenberg. - I brought the Norwegian experience to NATO, since I sincerely believe that we must avoid a new cold war and a new arms race. And then we need to talk with Russia, ”reports TASS.
The head of the alliance does not see the immediate threat of a military attack on any of the NATO countries.
