A Maryland couple won $250,000 checking the lottery ticket found during the car wash, UPI reported.

As it turned out, they bought the ticket more than a week earlier and immediately forgot in the car.

Finding a ticket, they immediately used a phone app to scan the ticket and discovered it was a $250,000 top prize winner.

The couple, who wished to remain anonymous, said that previously collected a $100,000 lottery prize a few years ago.
