The personnel of the Republic of Armenia carrying out a humanitarian mission in the Syrian Arab Republic continues its activities according to plan. On 2 April, the Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Aleppo hosted a meeting with Aleppo Regional Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) Mohammad Jesi. Among the participants of the meeting was Consul General of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan. This was posted on the Facebook page of the Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise SNCO, according to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The future steps of Armenian specialists carrying out their humanitarian mission in Syria and the UN OCHA in the region, as well as the cooperation with the Armenian community of Aleppo were discussed during the meeting. Partnership with the UN OCHA is extremely important for the humanitarian mission.

On 2 April, the group of sappers held a training titled “Need for and Significance of the Technical Specifications of a Mine Detector and Demining Station Marking”.

The doctors are carrying out their activities at various hospitals in Aleppo. They are also conducting studies and performing surgeries. One of the doctors has been included in the humanitarian demining group and to organize first aid courses,” the note reads.
