A council for improvement of the demographic situation has been established upon the decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

“Guided by part 16 of Article 7 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On the structure and activities of the Government”:

1. To establish a council for improvement of the demographic situation.

2. To approve the individual composition of the council for improvement of the demographic situation, pursuant to the Annex (https:www.e-gov.am/u_files/file/decrees/varch/2019/03/19-0347.pdf),” the decision reads.

The council comprises 14 members, which will be led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Among the members will be Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan, Minister of Healthcare Arsen Torosyan, Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Suren Papikyan and others.
