Authorities of 20 US states have sued US President Donald Trump because of his plans to build a wall on the border with Mexico, Life reported referring to New York State Attorney General Letitia James.

According to the source, the plaintiffs intend to stop the illegal attempt of the head of the White House to send $ 1.6 billion from the federal budget to this project.

State authorities said that the money was intended to finance law enforcement, fight drug trafficking and build military facilities.

As reported earlier, Trump’s plans are very unhappy with Texas farmers, on whose lands the President intends to build a wall. Soon it became known that 16 states complained to him in court.

In March 2019, he announced his intention to ask for another $8.6 billion for a border fence.
