Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, who is on a working visit to Jordan, held a meeting with King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, Armenian President’s press service reported.
King Abdullah II, welcoming the Armenian President, noted the deep ties and historically formed friendship between the two countries and two peoples.
President Sarkissian thanked for the warm welcome and noted the benevolent attitude of Abdullah II and his father towards the Armenian community. According to the president, the best evidence of friendship between the two peoples is the Armenian church, built on the banks of the Jordan.
The parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation, given the common situation and the lack of natural resources. They intend to focus on human resources. The Jordan’s delegation will visit Armenia to on-site familiarization with the available opportunities. President Sarkissian invited King Abdullah II to visit Armenia.
