Teenage volunteer firefighter has been charged with arson in Australia,  the New South Wales State Fire Service, The Guardian reported.

The volunteer is accused of setting fire to seven outbreaks in the Bega Valley area. According to the prosecution, a 19-year-old firefighter volunteered to set fire on Tuesday afternoon near the Bega River, then left the area to return later with a team of firefighters to put out the fires.

He was arrested in Tarraganda two hours after another arson.

The man has been charged with arson since October 17. The next trial of the accused will take place on December 17.

Another arson charge, which led to the destruction of four cars, was also brought against a 33-year-old man. He was charged with 12 cases of destruction of property by fire.

About 130 fires continue to blaze in the Australian state of New South Wales.
