The Government of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas is considering amending legislation aimed at decriminalizing and regulating the use of marijuana for medical and recreational purposes, TASS reportred referring to the RJR News portal.
According to him, measures include the abolition of criminal liability for the storage of less than 30 g of marijuana and the cultivation of no more than five such plants in households. It is also proposed to allow citizens to use cannabis for medical purposes from the age of 18 and for recreational purposes from the age of 21. To study public opinion on this issue, the country's leadership conducts public consultations and surveys.
