Colombian authorities said they were not going to share treasures of San Jose galleon with Spain.

The galleon owned by the Spanish Navy sank off the coast of Cartagena de Indias more than three centuries ago. Gold, silver and precious stones found on the vessel sank off, Euronews reported.

The wreckage of the ship was discovered only in 2015, and Spain has claimed ownership. However, Colombia opposed, as they claim gold was taken from the Indians, the indigenous people of Latin America.

The galleon was launched in 1698, and sank in battle off the coast of Cartagena, Columbia.

The treasures of the vessel are worth around several billion euros.
