Within the scope of the criminal case instituted in relation to the death of compulsory fixed-term serviceman, Private Vahram Avagyan at the training center of the Defense Army of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) at around 1:15 p.m. on January 30, Avagyan’s fellow serviceman Davit Movsisyan, Khachik Gasparyan and Spartak Avetisyan have been arrested, reports the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

The three servicemen have been arrested on the suspicion of committing a crime provided for by part 3 of Article 359 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (violating the rules in relations between servicemen in case of absence of relations of subordination; the act provided for by part 1 or 2 of the particular article that has caused grave consequences, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of four to eight years). Preliminary investigation continues.
