Newly appointed Ambassador of Slovenia to Armenia Tomaž Mencin (residence in Kiev) today presented the copies of his Letters of Credence to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Grigor Hovhannisyan, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
“Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, Grigor Hovhannisyan wished him fruitful work and success in his important and responsible mission. Expressing gratitude for the reception and kind wishes, Ambassador Mencin stated that he will spare no effort for the deepening and strengthening of the relations between the two countries. The interlocutors discussed a broad range of issues related to the Armenian-Slovenian ties, including the prospects for the promotion of political and economic relations and development of the mutually beneficial cooperation in different sectors. The parties also touched upon the prospects for cooperation arising from the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement and other issues of mutual interest. Earlier, the newly appointed Ambassador of Slovenia to Armenia had been received by Head of the Department for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Tigran Samvelyan, who discussed with the Ambassador a broad range of issues related to the bilateral ties,” the press release reads.
