Leader of Tseghakron (Race Religion) Party Shant Harutyunyan had also come to express support to former president of the Football Federation of Armenia Ruben Hayrapetyan in front of the police building today.

“I’m here to find out why Ruben Hayrapetyan was apprehended,” he told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Representatives of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), including RPA Spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov, Chairperson of the RPA Women’s Council Karine Atchemyan, former RPA deputy Vahram Baghdasaryan and other RPA members, as well as several politicians had also gathered to express their support to Ruben Hayrapetyan near the police building.

Ruben Hayrapetyan was apprehended today on the suspicion of keeping illegal weapons and ammunition. The police didn’t let his attorney Amram Makinyan enter the police building and provide legal aid. Hayrapetyan was released three hours later.
