YEREVAN. – We are ending today's protest, but on Sunday, we are heading for a protest from the [Yerevan] auto market. One of Armenia’s car importers, who were protesting in front of the government building, said this in a conversation with journalists.
"On Sunday, we will go out to protest by cars," he said. "Let the government know."
When asked whether they had written a petition with their demands as the police had requested, the this car importer said that they were not going to write a new petition because they had already written such a petition.
Armenia’s car importers today staged a protest demanding that they be allowed to import with the previous tariffs the cars they had imported last year, as well as resolve the issue of cars with Armenian license plates that were taken to Kazakhstan, as these Kazakh drivers were registered in Armenia, thus leaving the property tax of these cars on Armenian citizens.
