President of the Constitutional Court of Armenia Hrayr Tovmasyan has conveyed a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the Constitutional Court.

The message particularly reads as follows:

“Dear compatriots, today, February 6, 2020, marks the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia. Being responsible for observing the Constitution and ensuring constitutionality, since its establishment, the Constitutional Court has ensured implementation and exercise of the values, principles, human rights and fundamental freedoms enshrined in the Constitution in the Republic of Armenia and continues to do so to this day. Through their daily activities and impartiality, the judges of the Constitutional Court contribute to the ensuring of rule of law and implementation of the principle of equality before the law, and with this they guarantee the functioning of a legal state. May the Constitution serve as the major document of a legal state in all times and may every citizen of the Republic of Armenia be protected by virtue of rule of law.”
