Polish border guards have detained Azerbaijani and Ukrainian citizens for being part of an organized crime group that organized the illegal settlement of more than 500 immigrants in Poland through placing them to fictitious employment, Radio Dla Ciebie reports.

According to border guards, the criminal group included Azerbaijani nationals, as well as two Ukrainian citizens of Azerbaijani origin, and one Polish woman who is the wife of one of them.

Azerbaijani, Russian, Georgian, Ukrainian, Uzbek, Turkish, Pakistani, Iranian, Iraqi, and Kazakh citizens were among the aforesaid immigrants.

According to the Polish Border Service, due to the activities of this criminal group, these foreigners were able to illegally enter Poland and other EU countries.
