Judge Armine Meliksetyan of Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction today postponed the trial over Narek Mutafyan and Sargis Ohanjanyan, supporters of second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan.

The attorneys of the accused-on-trial filed a motion with the court to terminate criminal prosecution against Mutafyan and Ohanjanyan, and the prosecutor petitioned to postpone the trial since the existing evidence hasn’t been examined.

The court ruled to postpone the trial and set the next trial for March 26.

Sargis Ohanjanyan and Narek Mutafyan have been charged with asking Judge Danibekyan questions regarding Kocharyan’s case and video recording it on the street, which the investigative body assessed as obstruction of justice.

The court of first instance had granted the investigator's motion and ruled that they be arrested.

But the Criminal Court of Appeal had granted their attorneys’ appeal and ruled that they be released.
