The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, in cooperation with the United Nations World Food Programme Office in Armenia and the Sustainable School Feeding Foundation, has announced the launch of a new phase of the Sustainable School Feeding Program.

With additional funding provided by Russia, this year's respective funding will be able to be increased from $3 million all the way to $5 million.

As of 2019, this program is being implemented in 412 public education institutions in Armavir, Gegharkunik, Kotayk, Lori, and Aragatsotn Provinces of Armenia, providing meals to about 50,000 schoolchildren from Grades 1 to 4.
