YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia informs that the anti-epidemic situation is under full control in the penitentiaries of the country, no cases of novel coronavirus have been reported, and there are no patients with clinical symptoms characteristic of the disease.

To prevent the penetration of this coronavirus into the penitentiaries of Armenia, preventive and protective measures have been taken to protect the inmates' lives and health, the ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In addition, relevant explanatory work was carried out and respective strict scrutiny is set up for the visits by the prisoners’ relatives to the penitentiaries.
