At 10:36am on Friday, the National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia received a report that an unknown type of snake had bitten a local resident in a field of Yelpin village in Vayots Dzor Province.

The rescuers who arrived at the scene carried this woman—Gayane Y., born in 1973—to a waiting ambulance, and she was taken to the Yeghegnadzor town hospital.

Doctors say she is in moderate condition.
