YEREVAN. - Armenian parliament passed amendments to law on military service.
The document envisages increasing the age of obligatory military service from 18 to 19 years.
The decision is conditioned by a 12-year general educational system in Armenia. Following educations reforms, many conscripts will still be studying at school. For this reason, the law increases conscription age up to 19 years.
