YEREVAN. -  MP from the ruling Republican Party Karine Achemyan positively assesses dialogue between the authorities and opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC).

The MP noted that the goal of all political parties is the prosperity of the country. However, competition of the parties and attempts to get additional points at the expense of others have negative affect. She recalled that Serzh Sargsyan has been sending signals to the opposition on establishment of dialogue.

“One must learn how to cooperate and go for a dialogue in a civilized country,” she said.

Asked about recent report issued by CoE Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hammarberg, the MP noted the authorities share concerns on investigation into March 1 events.

The MP also commented on release of March 1 convicts. Achemyan said that it is for president to decide stressing relevant proposals will be taken into account.
