YEREVAN. - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with his French counterpart Alain Juppe in the course of his working visit to France and invited him to visit Armenia.

The Foreign Ministers discussed Armenia-EU relations, cooperation between Armenia and France within international agencies, touched upon activities of International Organization of La Francophonie.

The sides stressed necessity of peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Edward Nalbandian gave appraisal of France’s activities as co-chairing state of the OSCE Minsk Group, foreign office press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Armenian FM held a meeting with advisor to French President Jean-David Levitte to discuss visit of President Nicolas Sarkozy to Armenia scheduled for the second half of 2011, as well as preparation for Armenian leader’s trip to France.
