At least 28 people have died in wildfires on the US west coast, CNN reported.

According to the TV channel, the largest number of victims - 19 - is currently recorded in California. Eight people died in Washington state, another - in Oregon. There are children among the victims, Interfax reported.

On Monday, US President Donald Trump intends to visit California to assess the damage from wildfires and meet with local and federal officials, White House spokesman Judd Deere tweeted.
