YEREVAN. Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian will leave for Minsk to attend the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) on May 31.

“The meeting will discuss enhancing effectiveness of the organization in the context of implementing decisions of the December 2010 session of the CSTO Collective Security Council,” the press service of Armenia’s Foreign Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Topical problems of world and regional politics, as well as the development of foreign policy cooperation of member states, also in the framework of their interaction in international and regional structures and prospects for interaction with the United Nations in the peacekeeping activities will be touched upon at the meeting,” Spokesman for Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich told a briefing on May 26.

Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are included in the CSTO.
