PreferredYEREVAN. - Yerevan Police Department agent Stephan Tonoyan is detained for drug production, reports the Armenian Zhamanak newspaper.
A vast plantation of Dutch hemp was discovered on a territory which belonged to Tonoyan. The investigation revealed that under patronage of various high rank officials Tonoyan has long been engaged in drug production and sale.
It’s noteworthy that Stephan Tonoyan is a relative of Yerevan Chief of Police Nersik Nazaryan and his father is the Head of Special Investigation department of Aragatsotn region, the article says.
