YEREVAN.- Armenian Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan welcomes opposition leader’s readiness for dialogue with the authorities.

He believes President Serzh Sargsayn will agree to dialogue, as it is in the interests of Armenia and its people.

“We are ready to discuss reasonable proposals,” he said commenting on the opposition’s proposals to conduct early presidential and parliamentary elections.

President Sargsyan is to determine suitable format and time for the dialogue, Abrahamyan told journalists in parliament.

“We have not discussed the format yet, but it will be clear in the near future,” he added.

Speaking at Tuesday’s rally, opposition leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan said they would form a delegation of 3-5 people and represent agenda of dialogues to the authorities. “Among our demands are snap presidential and parliamentary elections,” he noted.
