YEREVAN. - Unknown carried out an armed assault on a mansion belonging to a senior official of the Lincy foundation in Yerevan’s Avan district last night, Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper reports.

Five men in masks jumped over the wall, opened the window of the toilet and entered the house. They threatened four family members with a gun, demanding money and jewelry.

After the criminals found out the money was kept in a safe, they transferred it to the owner’s Nissan Patrol and fled the location.

On Thursday morning the car was discovered in Shengavit district of Yerevan.

Two of the family members were taken to Surb Grigor Lusavorich medical centre.
