France welcomes decision on declaring an amnesty adopted by the Armenian parliament, said representative of French Foreign Ministry.
The amnesty is a positive step towards conciliation of political relations and respect for democratic values, the statement says.
“It shows Armenian authorities’ readiness to turn over the page of March 2008 events causing deaths and injuries among the demonstrators. France calls on Armenia to continue moving in this direction,” it says.
