YEREVAN. - Former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan cannot abandon politics even by a long stretch of his imagination, Nikol Pashinyan, former political prisoner, chief editor of the Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper told a press conference on Thursday.

“It is a great piece of luck if someone can get up and retire from politics. But Kocharyan cannot take advantage of it, as he must answer many questions before receiving permission to abandon, Pashinyan said.

Drawing a parallel between the second and incumbent presidents of Armenia, Pashinyan noted Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan are hand in glove. “There is a difference between the citizens of Armenia in 2006 and in 2011 respectively,” he emphasized.
