YEREVAN. – If president’s instructions were made on time, Armenia’s agriculture would be in a better state, said Hrachya Berberyan, chairman of agricultural association of Armenia.
He stressed that agriculture field, despite not being declared a priority field, is the focus of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s attention. President’s instructions are not carried out properly, he added.
Berberyan deems a special commission should be set up to monitor implementation of orders and exclude misinforming the president.
The head of agricultural association said reshuffle in the Ministry of Agriculture is necessary. Berberyan hailed positive seed development program.
“Armenia has long imported excellent wheat seeds. Under this program, the farmers have already received 1000 tons of fine wheat seed,” he concluded.
