US leader Donald Trump has declared a state of emergency and sent federal assistance to the Washington authorities in connection with security efforts.
The step came ahead of the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on January 20, TASS reported.
This decision will allow the federal authorities to allocate funds to assist the city in an accelerated manner.
