The second president of Armenia does not plan to form his own political party. Robert Kocharyan stated this at Thursday’s press conference for Russian media, Sputnik-Armenia reports.

"I am not perceived as a party leader. I will probably not form a political party—although I do not rule out that option. There will probably be political parties that will collaborate with me in possible elections," Kocharyan added.

As an example, he cited the years of his presidency, recalling that at that time there was a coalition in the parliament, during which Armenia achieved considerable economic success.

As for the current protests by the opposition, Robert Kocharyan called on his supporters to get involved in this process.
