The European Union has extended until the end of June the mechanism prohibiting the export of COVID-19 vaccine from its territory without obtaining special permission from the member countries of the community, the European Commission (EC) noted on Thursday.
This decision follows persistent delays in some vaccine shipments to the EU, the EC said in a statement.
