Vahram Simonyan, Armenian by origin, killed in crash of Russian plane Tu-134, was a vice president of Ukrainian “Hrant” bank, reports Gazeta po-Kievski newspaper.  

Ukrainian citizen Vahram Simonyan and his girlfriend 20-year-old Kristina Onishenko were going to Petrozavodsk for a holiday.  

The jet with 52 passengers took off Monday night from Moscow. The plane crashed onto a highway near Petrozavodsk airport in Karelia.

The plane tried to land on a motorway, but crashed and caught fire. Forty-four passengers, including seven children died, eight survivors were hospitalized.
