Haven’t you ever wanted to help bring Vano Siradeghyan back to Armenia after you came to power? Is it right that after you came to power, you set forth conditions, including detailed reports on the events in the 1990s? Why is Vano Siradeghyan’s body still not in Armenia a month after his death? Responding to the question, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan declared that he couldn’t have set forth a certain condition.

“I didn’t have any contact with Vano Siradeghyan after the last interview with him. Yes, I knew Vano Siradeghyan, had personal ties, and he was published as “Avetis Harutyunyan” in Armenian Times newspaper for a long time. I also took an interview from him. However, as Prime Minister, I always try not to let personal sympathy and apathy lie at the core of state decisions,” Pashinyan said.

Asked why Siradeghyan’s remains haven’t been transferred to Armenia a month after his death, Pashinyan noted that the government has set up a commission that will make the decisions. “I believe the commission will make decisions, and his remains will be transferred to Armenia soon,” he said.
