Azerbaijani people are vegetables, some are fruits – Azeri artist (photos)

Azerbaijani artist Chingiz worked for several days on the fruit and vegetable collage-map of his country, lain before Branicki Palace of Bialystok city, Poland. The artist used one and a half tons of vegetable and fruits to make a 500 square meter map of Azerbaijan, reports Gazeta Wyborcza.

The composition is realized in the framework of Journey to the East event held in Bialystok on the occasion of Poland’s presidency of Council of the European Union. Artists from Poland and Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus) take part in the event. One of the core themes of the exhibition is the relationship of people based on positive emotions.

“This map is my dream of how I would like to see my country and the whole world,” said Chingiz.

According to him, different vegetables and fruits symbolize people of different races and tastes. The artist’s idea is to let the collage decompose naturally, conveying the message that nothing lasts forever in this world.
