TBILISI. - Georgian students will not receive a bachelor’s degree, only if they speak English.

According to Georgian Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Shashkin, teaching and mastering the English language at Georgian higher education institutions is compulsory in 2011-2012 academic year, Tribuna.ge reports.

“Students should master the English language. It is a governmental policy, which aims to facilitate Georgian citizens’ integration into Europe,” Shashkin noted.
