The cost of gasoline at gas stations in the United States again updated a historical high, reaching $ 4.671 per gallon (3.785 liters). This is evidenced by data released on Wednesday by the non-profit American Automobile Association, which tracks prices at more than 60,000 gas stations in the country.

According to its data, the average cost of a gallon of Regular brand gasoline (corresponds to AI-92 gasoline in Russia) rose to $4.671 in the US by Wednesday morning (on Tuesday this figure was $4.622). The highest gas prices in the country traditionally remain in the state of California, where motorists will have to pay an average of $6,194 per gallon.

A strong rise in the price of gasoline in the US began at the end of winter, while for the third week in a row it constantly updates record values. The increase in fuel costs comes against the backdrop of rising world oil prices, despite the attempts of the White House to counter this trend. A year ago, the price of gasoline averaged $3 per gallon.

The cost of futures for WTI crude oil with deliveries in July rises on Tuesday by $0.87 (0.76%), to $115.54 per barrel.
