YEREVAN. – Shepherds rarely explode the mine field, a Turkish expert wishing to stay unknown told Armenian News-NEWS.am commenting on the statement by the Turkish Posta.

As Turkish media informed earlier, Turkish shepherd Mehmet Alioghlu, breed his sheep near Armenian-Turkish border and stepped on the mine. He was hospitalized. Commenting the statement, the expert stated that the source did not tell when the incident took place, as suchlike incident happened also in June. However, shepherds do not step on the mine. Instead, people who violate the border appear in the mine field. Besides, the incident showed that Armenian side of the border is better protected than Turkish side.
