Turkey on January 1, introducing a tax for tourists at a rate of two percent of the cost of services.
According to NTV, the tax will be imposed on tourists living in hotels, resort villages, boutique hotels, motels, boarding houses, villages, mountain houses and campsites.
Diplomatic personnel of foreign countries are exempt from the tax, as are student accommodation services in dormitories, hostels and camps.
