In 2022, the processing industry of Armenia recorded a considerable growth. Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan said this at Friday’s session of the National Assembly, during the latter’s debates on the bill on making an addition to the Law on Industrial Policy.

According to the minister, processing industry made up about 12 percent of Armenia’s GDP.

"The amount of production increased by 13.5 percent, making 1.8 trillion drams, while the mining industry experienced a certain decline," added Kerobyan.

According to him, all this is within the scope of the logically drawn programs of the Armenian government.

"With the government's program of measures, it has been outlined to considerably increase the role of processing industry in the GDP. It is about 15 percent. Now it is at the limit of 12 percent. I believe such considerable growth is a good step on the way to achieving our objective," the Armenian economy minister concluded.
