The water has receded about 50 meters on the coast of Mugla, Turkey, Anadolu Agency reports.

According to experts, this may be caused by tidal movements and changes in wind pressure.

Earlier, the Turkish media reported that the Sea of Marmara receded from the coast by about 15 meters near the Avcilar district in the western part of Istanbul.

In Altinova  district of Yalova Province and in Tekirdag city the sea receded up to 25 meters from the coast. The receding waters exposed the rocks known as the "Royal Road."

The Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute of Turkey reported that the phenomenon is not related to the recent earthquakes in the country, but is caused by a drop in pressure.
