A tragic road accident took place in Ararat Province of Armenia on Wednesday, shamshyan.com reported.

At around 5:40pm, a car driven by Ararat Province resident Nikolay J., 25, and a car driven by Armavir Province resident Jivan M., 47, collided in Hovtashat village.

Both drivers sustained injuries and were hospitalized.

A few hours later, Jivan M. died without regaining consciousness.

The Masis city investigation department has launched criminal proceedings into this road accident.
