STEPANAKERT. - Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nagorno-Karabakh registered the ten thousandth visitor of 2011.

It proved to be Russian citizen, poet and translator Vadim Rakhmanov. On behalf of NKR Foreign Ministry he was awarded a certificate and commemorative gift with the symbol of Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to the Consular Service of NKR Foreign Ministry, the number of foreign citizens who visited Nagorno-Karabakh over the last nine months of 2011 exceeds 64% the indicators for the same period of 2010.

Most of foreign visitors are citizens of Russia, EU, USA, Iran, Canada. The number of Russian tourists doubled as compared with the previous year.

Tourists from Japan, China, Singapore, Brazil, Venezuela, Israel, New Zealand, India and Ivory Coast visit the Republic as well.
